TMCP 2020 announces Isabel Wilkerson as keynote speaker

Come bring your cup of coffee and join TMCP 2020 on October 28-30, virtually! Isabel Wilkerson, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author of Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents, will be the conference’s keynote speaker on October 30.

Register here. Participants can earn up to 6.75 MCLE hours, including 2 ethics hours.

Caste is a New York Times best-selling book and an Oprah’s Book Club 2020 selection. It will soon be adapted to film for Netflix by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Ava DuVernay. Wilkerson also wrote The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of America’s Great Migration, which was awarded the National Book Critics Circle Award for nonfiction.

TMCP promotes diversity and inclusion through the legal profession. TMCP was created in 1993 with the mission of increasing opportunities for minority, women, and LGBT attorneys who provide legal services to corporate and government clients, and to expose those organizations to the legal talent of diverse attorneys in Texas.
