Houston Bar Association hosts COVID-19-related LegalLine service

Originally published by Adam Faderewski.

The Houston Bar Association invites members of the public needing help with legal inquiries to sign up for the free LegalLine program from 5 to 8 p.m. April 22.

Those needing assistance with general legal questions or COVID-19-related inquiries—including unemployment; eviction, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security, or CARES, Act; the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, or FFCRA, and more—can go to hba.org/legalline for more information and view available time slots.

LegalLine will be held every Wednesday through the end of May. Signups for each week close at 5 p.m. Tuesday and a licensed attorney will call interested parties back at their assigned time on Wednesday. Questions on all areas of the law are welcome.
