The State Bar of Texas Board of Directors will meet for its next quarterly meeting at 9 a.m. CST on January 22.
Among items on the agenda, the board will receive:
- an update from the Committee on Disciplinary Rules and Referenda on the upcoming 2021 Rules Vote and committee activities;
- a report from the Discipline & Client Attorney Assistance Program Committee regarding ABA Model Rule 8.4(g), Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct Rule 5.08, and the committee’s plan to discontinue further study of the ABA Model Rule;
- an update from the Minimum Continuing Legal Education Committee regarding a board request to study inclusivity training for all Texas lawyers; and
- updates from the Task Force on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and the Justice in Leadership Workgroup.
