State Bar Board of Directors sets special meeting

The State Bar of Texas Board of Directors set a special meeting for September 10 to consider a tabled motion to restrict the duties of the bar’s president.

The meeting will occur via videoconference and be publicly viewable live on the State Bar’s YouTube page. The scheduling of a special meeting was part of a list of action items passed at a July 27 special board meeting. Read more about the July 27 action items here.

When the agenda for the September 10 meeting agenda is posted, the board will begin accepting registrations for public comment.

Other upcoming board meetings are as follows:

August 18-19—The board will hold a Strategic Planning Retreat via videoconference. The opening and closing sessions of the meeting will be publicly viewable live on the bar’s YouTube page. No action will be taken at this meeting related to the action items discussed July 27. The meeting agenda can be found here. The full retreat schedule is available here.

September 25—The board’s regularly scheduled quarterly meeting will occur via videoconference and be publicly viewable live on the bar’s YouTube page. More details will be available when the agenda is posted.
