State Bar Law-Related Education launches new resource for Texas students

Originally published by Justine Carreon.

The State Bar of Texas Law-Related Education (LRE) department has released a new video series resource “Texas Civics: A Student’s Guide” to all Texas educators and students.

The videos highlight the Texas judicial, legislative, and executive branches and explain through easy-to-understand graphics how each branch works. The three videos are ready for view at texaslre.org.

Additional videos will be added to show comparisons of each branch of government at the national and local levels. When production is complete, all videos will be closed captioned and provided in Spanish. The department is also creating guides to be used after viewing to assess student learning from watching the videos. For more information on these resources, please complete this form.

This project is made possible through funds from the Texas Bar Foundation.
