The Dallas Hispanic Bar Association will hold its 10th annual fundraiser and award gala Saturday at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science.
The evening’s theme, “Noche de Luz,” or night of light is meant to be a reflection of the association’s 46-year commitment to lighting a path toward diversity initiatives, organizers said in a news release.
Contributions to the event will be used to fund those initiatives as well as scholarships at three Dallas-area law schools run by Southern Methodist University, Texas A&M University and the University of North Texas.
The bar association will also honor several “luminaries” in the legal community. This year’s highest honor, the “La Luz Award,” will be presented to State Rep. Rafael Anchia.
