The decision Texans fans had been awaiting came Monday morning, with Brian Hoyer named the team’s starting quarterback after a ballyhooed competition with Ryan Mallett.
Hoyer, who signed with the Texans in the spring, is with his fifth NFL franchise since turning pro in 2009.
