Esther Kim, a graduate of the Texas University of Houston Law Center, and Tovah Pentelovitch, a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, have been selected as 2015 Texas Equal Justice Works fellows by the Texas Access to Justice Foundation. Hundreds applied for the fellowship program, which funds innovative legal projects.

Kim will work in the Houston office of Lone Star Legal Aid, providing the Asian community in Harris and Fort Bend counties with legal services in guardianship and domestic violence cases.

Pentelovitch will serve in the Austin office of Texas RioGrande Legal Aid, working to curb the use of Disciplinary Alternative Education Programs in Austin and underserved regions through outreach and representation of at-risk students.

Both will begin their two-year fellowships this fall.

Applications for 2016 fellowships will be accepted from July 6 to September 18. For more information, go to tajf.org or email Lisa Melton at LDMelton@tajf.org.
