State Bar of Texas Past President Charles F. Aycock dies at 80

State Bar of Texas Past President Charles F. Aycock, of Amarillo, died November 9, 2021. He received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1967. Aycock served as president of the State Bar of Texas from 1999-2000. He was a solo practitioner in Amarillo. Prior to that, Aycock was a partner in the firm of Aldridge, Harding & Aycock in Farwell. He served as county attorney of Parmer County for more than 23 years. Aycock served on the District 13 Grievance Committee, was a past chair and life fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, and was a member of the State Bar of Texas Board of Directors from 1990 to 1993. He was appointed by Gov. Rick Perry to the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles in 2004 and served until 2011.
