Supreme Court of Texas Emergency Orders
The 25th Emergency Order limits eviction proceedings in certain circumstances in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control’s order temporarily halting some evictions. The 25th order also requires certain information to be included with an eviction petition and citation.
The 26th Emergency Order bans all in-person jury proceedings before December 1 in justice and municipal courts; permits district, county, and probate courts to hold in-person jury trials only after certain actions; perm
its courts to hold virtual jury proceedings in certain cases with technology provided to prospective jurors; extends the possession and access to a child provisions from previous orders; and extends the ability for an attorney professional disciplinary or disability proceeding to conduct proceedings remotely.

Governor’s COVID-19 Orders Update
Governor Greg Abbott issued executive orders on September 17 expanding the capacity of certain services in Texas and addressing hospital capacity in the state. Find the full list of the governor’s executive orders here.
