Bloomberg BNA reports that the FDA’s new public-facing database “compiles adverse-event reports that consumers, doctors and companies send the FDA,” providing “valuable access” for attorneys, companies, and researchers. Bloomberg says, “These reports were previously available only through specific Freedom of Information Act requests.” Bloomberg says plaintiffs’ attorneys and defense attorneys may find the database useful for litigation purposes.
